FAQs

There is no specific time because every instrument is made very carefully, with precision and attention to all the details, to create a unique piece. You can contact me directly to find out the current waiting time.

We ask for a deposit of 300 euros to reserve one. The rest of the price will be paid when you pick up the instrument from the studio-workshop or before it is shipped.

Yes, you can come and pick it up at the studio-workshop in Sant Esteve de Palautordera, Barcelona.

Maintenance is one of the things to bear in mind. Here are some guidelines to follow:

  • –  With kitchen paper or a microfibre cloth clean the whole instrument with a solution containing between 70% and 90% alcohol. Apply it to both faces until they are completely clean. Then apply some drops of Phoenix oil.
  • –  If you do not play the instrument for a long time, do not leave it shut up in the bag.
  • –  Make sure you do not play the instrument in direct sunlight because, if it gets too hot, this can cause tuning problems.
Many tests are carried out during the Manik creative process to check the stability of the tuning and a great deal of attention is paid to ensuring stable tuning. If there are no accidents and if the instrument is played with the right technique, the tuning should remain stable for a long time. If necessary, small adjustments can be made every 18 months or two years.
